Directors visited Rastar to investigate cultural exports

On November 19, Xia Yunhai, Deputy Director of the Foreign Promotion Bureau of Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee and his entourage visited Rastar Group to investigate the business development and cultural export of the enterprise.

 

 

After visiting the exhibition hall and being briefed on the Rastar's development history, business sectors and business plans, Deputy Director Xia Yunhai and his entourage fully affirmed the achievements of Rastar in cultural export construction, and encouraged Rastar to "go out" to become bigger and more powerful, increase investment in innovation and development, optimize product structure, and continuously enhance the international competitiveness of cultural export enterprises.

 

 

Subsequently, at a seminar on cultural exports of key entities and enterprises held in Guangzhou, Mr. Chen Chuanghuang, Director and General Manager of Rastar, was invited to attend the meeting and made an introduction of Rastar's cultural exports.


Rastar was established in 2000 and on the GEM Board of the Shenzhen Stock Exchange in 2010. At present, Rastar's business consists of three main segments, namely games, sports and toys, with business bases or branches in Guangzhou, Shantou, Hong Kong, Zhao'an, Fujian and Barcelona.


At present, the annual turnover of Rastar's game business exceeds RMB 2 billion, of which over half of the turnover from overseas has been generated since 2020, and the "game export" strategy has achieved milestone results. Based on the worldwide adaptation and distribution rights of the masterpiece IP of Heroes of the Three Kingdoms, Rastar has achieved global distribution and operation of its products. Legend of Three Kingdoms-Works of King has gained promising success in Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, Korea, Japan and other countries and regions, with a cumulative global revenue of 5 billion RMB. In addition, products such as MapleStory R and Aurora Legend published by Rastar in overseas also made satisfactory achievements. With its excellent overseas performance, Rastar was awarded as one of the top 30 Chinese game producers in terms of overseas revenue in App Annie's October list.

 

 

The RCD Espanyol controlled by Rastar is a founding team of La Liga with 121 years of history. The RCD Espanyol has a sophisticated youth training system with 20 youth teams, and is the subject of analysis by FIFA's prestigious Top Football Academy. In January 2019, Wu Lei joined RCD Espanyol and has achieved a number of records for his outstanding performance. In the most recent World Qualifying Tournament, Wu Lei scored 12 goals and 3 assists in 14 games, ranking 2nd in the overall scoring charts.

 

 

Rastar Toys is the original business of Rastar Group and has been a globally renowned toy brand after more than 20 years of development covering model car and maternal and infant product lines. As a leading export brand in Guangdong Province, Rastar's products are exported to over 120 countries and regions, with an annual shipment of over 10 million sets, of which over 2/3 are exported. Rastar Toys is currently licensed by more than 35 world-renowned car brands such as BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi and Lamborghini, and has trademark intellectual property rights in over 90 countries and regions.

 

Rastar Toys was presented at the China Import and Export Fair, an important foreign trade platform, to promote the "RASTAR" brand to global traders.

 

Previously, with its outstanding comprehensive competitiveness and remarkable performance in the overseas market, Guangdong Xinghui Teamtop Interactive Entertainment Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Rastar Group, was selected as the "Key National Cultural Export Enterprises for 2021-2022" jointly recognized by the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China, Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, Department of the Treasury of the People's Republic of China, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the People's Republic of China, and the National Radio and Television Administration.
